What we collect
Unified Solar Pty Ltd collects information you provide through the quick callback and detailed quote forms: your name, phone number, suburb, any optional email, property address, postcode, selected services, and information about your energy needs or property that you choose to give us.
When you come from a promotion or referral link, the enquiry may also record referral and campaign parameters (such as UTM tags or advertising click identifiers), the page used, an enquiry reference and submission time.
Why we use your information
We use it to respond to your enquiry, assess your installation needs, discuss quotation options and manage related customer service. Form consent authorises contact about the enquiry; it is not consent to unrelated promotional mailing lists.
The on-page solution finder and product comparisons work in your browser. The detailed quote form also generates an optional downloadable brief for your own records.
Where information is stored and how long it is kept
Website enquiries are saved in a private database managed by Unified Solar. Access to that database is restricted to business administration. The current enquiry system has a 365-day retention threshold; older records are removed by the scheduled housekeeping process, subject to any separate legal or recordkeeping obligation that requires us to retain information elsewhere.
Enquiries are also queued for email notification to our business inbox through Google’s Gmail service. Saving an enquiry confirms receipt by our website; email delivery is processed separately. The database retention threshold does not automatically remove copies in business email or backups. Those copies are managed separately for customer service, recovery and applicable recordkeeping needs.
External services
When you start typing in the address box, your search is sent to Google to provide address suggestions and details. You can keep typing without selecting a suggestion. Google’s address feature loads when you use that box, rather than when you first open the website.
The enquiry details needed for follow-up are transmitted through Google’s Gmail service to our business inbox. The enquiry forms do not automatically enrol you in external marketing tools. Links to manufacturers and other websites are controlled by those third parties.
We will update this notice if our service providers or overseas data handling arrangements materially change.
Access, correction and questions
You can contact us to ask what enquiry information we hold, request correction, raise a privacy concern or ask about deletion where permitted. We may need to confirm that you are authorised to access the relevant details. You can avoid supplying optional details and use the telephone instead of the forms.
A successful form submission displays a unique reference; quote messages that cannot be saved display an error and a telephone alternative.
